12. Mars // In this workshop we will look briefly at the anatomy involved in back bending which will include more than just the spine!
We will go through a few "drills" to open the front of the body, strengthen the back
and loosen shoulders and chest area.
We will work with muscularly focused back bending such as salabasana (locust) and
ustrasana (camel), and leveraged back bends such as dhanurasana (bow) and
urdhva dhanurasana (bridge) and experiment toward drop backs and more advanced
