Workshop 1: Know your strength/Grounding

January 18th Workshop 1 Saturday 09:00 - 11:30

It is a common struggle for our people to connect to their true strength in our modern days. So many of us have been conditioned to not believe in ourselves and we have lost connection to our legs and feet, and the Earth beneath us. Our sedentary lifestyle combined with numbing habits –addictions, emotional eating etc– aggravates our disconnection even more. We are more disconnected and fearful than ever before, which leads us to making fear-based decisions in our lives. In this workshop, you will begin to feel your true strength by enlivening the legs and feet. You will feel the connection to the ground which will help you connect to your true strength, realise your self-worth and feel empowered.

Workshop 2: Heal your back

Jan 18th Workshop 2 Saturday 14:30 - 17:00

Pain and injuries in the spine area are very common sources of suffering among our people today. Our perception of injuries and chronic pain become hard-wired into our brain, eventually twisting the way we experience and live our lives. The vast majority of us define our injuries and pain as limitations and develop a resentful attitude towards them; this does not have to be the case. What if we can perceive our injuries as a gift, an opportunity to learn how to heal ourselves and evolve? In fact, by healing our physical scars we also become more skillful on overcoming our emotional blockages and live past our preconditioned limitations.

Workshop 3: Connect to Heart / Backbending

Jan 19th Workshop 3 Sunday 09:00 - 11:30

In our modern days, there is a strong notion to live and experience life from the superficial layer of intellect and logic. However, this approach alone is limited and has led our people to suffer from severe anxiety and depression as well as auto-immune diseases. In this workshop, you will delve deep into feeling and begin to feel your heart as an independent ‘brain’. By melting the shields around your heart, you will begin to delve deeper into your intuitive nature, explore feeling your own vulnerabilities and turning them into strengths. The more you feel down to your core, the more you allow life to touch you in a meaningful way.

Workshop 4: Ally your fear/Gravity surfing

Jan 19th Workshop 4 Sunday 14:30 - 17:00

Our fears are primal life reactions and for the most part protect us from danger. However, we no longer live in physically dangerous environments anymore. Nowadays, fear rears its ugly head mostly unnecessarily. In this workshop, you will educate yourself to tame your fear and use it as driving force for taking action, instead of paralysing. You will learn how to approach inversions efficiently and safely so you can work on your fear on a pace that does not overwhelm you; when dealing with fear it is imperative to follow a step-by-step process. This will be a juicy, hip opening practice.

About Ilias

Hi, I am Ilias. A few years back I was suffering from excess anxiety which not only kept me awake at nights but also impacted my breathing. I couldn’t take a proper, deep breath unless I yawned. Ever since I got introduced to yoga I began to feel myself more at the present moment; suddenly, I was more aware of my actions and their outcomes. After a yoga teacher training in India and some teaching time, I was still craving for something more fulfilling. To my surprise, I got introduced to Forrest Yoga and literally got hooked. I knew it was my life call to take the teacher training with Ana Forrest and Jose Calarco. And I was not mistaken; my life was never the same after that and it still remains my best decision ever. The second-best decision was when I quit my job to dedicate my life to spread the transformational tools of Forrest Yoga.

It is my life’s purpose to use the effective tools of Forrest Yoga coupled with my personal experience, to inspire you to live your life to its highest potential. I will teach you to use your strong focus and attention to explore your body and mind in ways that may have been unknown to you. I will teach you how to breathe deeply so you can break free of the automatic way of being and delve deeper into feeling. You will connect the wisdom of the brain with the wisdom of the rest of your body and develop strong intuitive skills.
